- Can I freely choose a domain name .INFO?
  • Check first whether your domain name is still available.  
  • The .INFO TLD is an unrestricted TLD, i.e. anyone may register a .INFO domain name for any purpose.
  • Maximum length: 63 characters
  • Allowed characters: Only letters (a-z), digits (0-9) and dashes (-) are allowed.  A domain name cannot start or end with a dash "-".
  • Although the automated system will allow you to register any name, you are still subject to the legal system.  The trade laws for example will not allow you to use the tradename of somebody else
  • Domain names must be registered for a 2-year term.
  • Please remember that the registration of a .be domain name happens on a "first come, first served" basis. This means  that the first person applying for a particular name has the priority to become the effective registrant of the domain name in question.
